1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Edge Energy bill validation platform operated by Edge Energy Consulting Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.
2. The service
Edge provides automated energy bill validation software. You upload energy bills, and the platform extracts data, validates charges against contracts and market benchmarks, and produces reports. The platform is provided “as is” and we do not guarantee that every billing error will be detected.
3. Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your login with anyone outside your organisation. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Your data
You retain ownership of all data you upload to the platform, including bills, contracts, and customer information. We process your data solely to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use the platform for any unlawful purpose, attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, or upload content that infringes the rights of others. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
6. Billing and payment
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at signup. Prices are listed on our pricing page and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. You may cancel at any time and your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
7. Limitation of liability
Edge Energy Consulting Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the fees you have paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. The platform provides validation reports for informational purposes and does not constitute financial or legal advice.
8. Intellectual property
All intellectual property in the platform, including software, design, and branding, belongs to Edge Energy Consulting Ltd. Your use of the platform does not grant you any ownership rights. White-label reports produced by the platform may carry your branding as permitted by your plan.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. On termination, your access to the platform will cease and your data will be deleted within 90 days unless you request an export beforehand.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
