What exactly is a deal room?
Your deal room is a private web page, no login or software required. When we've sourced quotes for your business, we send you a link. On that page you see every quote side by side: the supplier's rate per kWh, the standing charge, the contract length, and our fee, all broken out so you can compare with complete visibility.
What is a Letter of Authority (LOA)?
An LOA gives us permission to request energy quotes on your behalf. It doesn't commit you to switching or paying anything, it just lets suppliers share pricing with us. You sign it electronically in 30 seconds.
How much do you charge?
Our fee depends on your consumption and is always shown separately on every quote in your deal room. For smaller businesses (under 250,000 kWh), it's up to 1p/kWh. For mid-market (250k to 1GWh), it's 0.5p/kWh. For large consumers (over 1GWh), it's from 0.3p/kWh.
Do I ever pay you directly?
No. Our commission is built into the energy rate and paid by the supplier. You never receive an invoice from Edge. If you decide not to switch, you pay nothing at all.
How long does the process take?
Most businesses get quotes within 48 hours of signing their LOA. The full switch typically completes in 2 to 4 weeks, depending on your current contract.
Is my business too small for this?
No. We work with businesses of all sizes, from single-meter shops to multi-site portfolios. There's no minimum spend and no per-site fees. If you pay a business energy bill, we can help.
What if I'm already in a contract?
No problem. We can get quotes now and have everything ready for when your contract ends. Your deal room tracks your renewal date and we'll reach out when it's time to compare again.
